The Outpatient RN CAP 1 position serves as an entry-level designation within the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). As a vital member of the End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) healthcare team, you will be accountable for the provision and coordination of clinically competent care, encompassing assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned group of patients.
In this role, you will participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities designed to enhance patient care outcomes and facility operations. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify expected outcomes, update nursing assessments, and ensure patients are aware of transplant and treatment modality options. Additionally, you will serve as a resource for the healthcare team and assist in the training and orientation of new staff.
This position operates within a healthcare facility characterized by air temperature control and moderate noise levels. Day-to-day activities involve a blend of direct patient care, desk work, computer documentation, and interaction with patients, facility staff, and physicians. The role may occasionally require travel to training sites or other facilities.
