In this position, you will provide high-quality ultrasound procedures to patients and physicians in a respectful and efficient manner within a safe, clean environment. You will perform diagnostic sonography, including breast ultrasound and breast biopsy, within a multi-modality setting that covers general sonography, OB/GYN, abdominal, vascular, and pelvic studies.
Your day will involve performing multifunctional tasks, such as operating equipment, assisting with patient movement, and making appropriate judgment decisions in urgent or emergency situations. You will be responsible for explaining procedures to patients prior to exams, utilizing your knowledge of anatomy and disease processes to accurately communicate pathology to Radiologists, and collaborating with fellow employees to ensure all requests are completed efficiently.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved ultrasound school with subsequent accreditation through ARDMS. BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire. While we prefer at least one year of work experience after graduation and accreditation, we will train selected candidates on the specific equipment and processes utilized at Williamson Health.
