About the Role
This position is for an Owner Operator driving refrigerated Over-The-Road (OTR) routes. The role focuses on long-haul transportation with a specific emphasis on efficiency and reliability. Drivers will handle LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight without the need for loading or unloading cargo, allowing for a focus on driving and schedule adherence.
Compensation and Schedule
Drivers can expect an average gross pay of $6,000 per week, paid on a weekly basis. The typical route covers an average of 3,500 miles per week. The compensation package includes a paid fuel surcharge. The settlement schedule and driving schedule are managed directly with the driver.
Home Time
The standard expectation for this role is to be out on the road for 7 days at a time. However, drivers have the flexibility to stay out longer if they prefer. The schedule is designed to ensure drivers are home for at least two weekends per month.
Equipment Guidelines
There is no maximum age limit for the truck used in this position. However, overdimensional trucks are not permitted for these routes.
Hiring Requirements
To qualify for this opportunity, candidates must hold a valid Class A license without specific restrictions. The license must not have the following limitations: (L) Air Brakes, (Z) Night Driving, (G) No Semi Trailer, (O) Intrastate Only, or (K) Intrastate Only. Additionally, applicants must possess at least 12 months of experience operating a tractor-trailer.
