We are seeking an experienced OTAR Specialist to support secure tactical communications operations within U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Tactical Communications (TACCOM) environments. This role is vital to ensuring the secure, reliable, and continuous operation of mission-critical Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems.
You will operate in a 24x7x365 mission environment, supporting provisioning, secure communications continuity, system integrity, and operational readiness in accordance with DHS and CBP standards. Your work will directly impact the safety and connectivity of first responders and national security personnel, requiring a high level of precision and dedication to federal cybersecurity and communications security (COMSEC) policies.
This is a full-time onsite position located in Orlando, FL. The role is performed in a mission-critical, 24x7x365 operational environment, which includes after-hours and on-call support as required based on operational needs. The physical demands of the role include the ability to lift and move communications equipment up to 50 pounds. All team members must successfully complete a CBP Background Investigation and comply with all federal cybersecurity and information security requirements.

Experience supporting DHS, CBP, FPS, FEMA, DoD, or other federal tactical communications environments. Familiarity with CBP TACCOM operations or U.S. Coast Guard Rescue 21 environments. Public safety communications background. Experience supporting encryption-capable communications assets. Existing DHS suitability, Public Trust, Secret clearance, or similar federal security credential. Security+, COMTIA certifications, or related technical credentials. Military communications background.
