You will join the Ophthalmology clinic at Emory Clinic, a division of Emory Healthcare. In this role, you will operate within a specific section of the clinic, reporting to the Supervisor of Ophthalmic Operations, Chief Ophthalmic Technician, or other clinic leadership. The team is dedicated to advancing eye care through precise diagnostic imaging and supporting clinical trials within an IRB framework.
This position serves as a critical link between patient care and diagnostic data, requiring a blend of customer service excellence, strong interpersonal skills, and independent decision-making. Your primary focus will be capturing high-quality ocular imagery to support diagnosis and documentation. You will perform a wide range of imaging tasks, including single and stereo fundus photography, Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), OCTA, topography, slit lamp photography, gonio photography, and angiography (FA and ICG). The role also involves photographing the posterior pole through dense or opaque media, as well as red-free posterior pole, stereo imaging, Fundus Auto-fluorescence, and diffuse external photography.
Beyond routine imaging, you will certify for assigned clinical trial photography studies and ensure all work adheres to the framework of an Institutional Review Board (IRB). This role demands a high level of technical proficiency in both film and digital photography at an intermediate level, alongside the ability to navigate a dynamic clinical environment.
