This encompasses clean power, clean water, clean food, and clean industrials. Chart's diverse applications reflect a deep commitment to sustainability and innovation. The company delivers full hydrogen solutions across the value chain, offers carbon capture solutions globally, and operates water treatment systems responsible for treating 4.5 billion gallons of water daily in the U.S. Additionally, Chart provides equipment for mission-critical space launches, decarbonizes the marine industry, electrifies mining operations, and enables the production of popular carbonated beverages like nitro coffee and nitro ice cream.
This Operator I (Brake Operator) position is based at Chart's Centergate facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The role is integral to the fabrication process, focusing on breaking sheet metal to required dimensions and shapes. Key daily tasks include downloading jobs from the database, editing programs, calibrating backstops, and cutting parts to size using a shear press according to technical prints.
The position is classified as safety-sensitive due to the use of heavy machinery, power tools, and exposure to potentially hazardous conditions. Success in this role requires heightened awareness and strict adherence to all safety protocols to ensure the safety of the employee and their colleagues. The physical environment demands the ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs, frequent movement including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking, and occasional crawling, as well as pushing, pulling, and handling materials. Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions are also required.
