About Chart Industries

Chart Industries is a leader in the design and fabrication of cryogenic equipment, driven by the mission to provide full solutions across the Nexus of Clean. This encompasses clean power, clean water, clean food, and clean industrials. The company serves as a problem solver for customers who bring challenges rather than just specifications, guiding projects from conceptual design through on-site installation and commissioning.

Chart's diverse applications reflect a deep commitment to sustainability and innovation. The company delivers full hydrogen solutions across the value chain, offers carbon capture solutions globally, and operates water treatment systems responsible for treating 4.5 billion gallons of water daily in the U.S. Additionally, Chart provides equipment for mission-critical space launches, decarbonizes the marine industry, electrifies mining operations, and enables the production of popular carbonated beverages like nitro coffee and nitro ice cream.

About the Role

This Operator I (Brake Operator) position is based at Chart's Centergate facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The role is integral to the fabrication process, focusing on breaking sheet metal to required dimensions and shapes. The operator will transport materials to the break table and move completed products to designated areas for kitting and storage. Key daily tasks include downloading jobs from the database, editing programs, calibrating backstops, and cutting parts to size using a shear press according to technical prints.

The position is classified as safety-sensitive due to the use of heavy machinery, power tools, and exposure to potentially hazardous conditions. Success in this role requires heightened awareness and strict adherence to all safety protocols to ensure the safety of the employee and their colleagues. The physical environment demands the ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs, frequent movement including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking, and occasional crawling, as well as pushing, pulling, and handling materials. Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions are also required.

Equal Opportunity

Chart Industries is an equal employment opportunity (EEO) employer. The company does not discriminate against any employee or applicant based on race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, military status, marital status, genetic information, or any other reason prohibited by law. This policy extends to all terms and conditions of employment, including hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfers, leave of absence, compensation, and training. Chart remains committed to providing promotion and advancement opportunities in a non-discriminatory fashion and complies with all applicable local, state, and federal statutes governing equal employment opportunity.
