As an Operations Service Manager at Burlington, one of the largest off-price retailers in the country, you will be a key leader of the store team. In this role, you will manage overall store operations while serving as a role model for store associates. Your mission is to demonstrate and reinforce the company's Core Values, build trust and respect among peers and staff, and drive business results.
You will coach, train, and develop a team of Cashiers, Customer Service Supervisors, Receiving team members, and Receiving Supervisors. Your focus will be on ensuring associates deliver excellent customer service and maintain the highest degree of professionalism.
Your day will be defined by leading the Customer Service and Cashier teams, driving compliance with company policies, and ensuring the safekeeping of company funds and property. You will provide guidance to Customer Service Supervisors to ensure smooth customer flow at the registers and manage the execution of operations and receiving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
A significant portion of your role involves leading the overall receiving process, including transfers, debits, damages, and chargebacks, while partnering with the Receiving Supervisor to maintain inventory accuracy. As the Manager on Duty (MOD), you will set the leadership example for customers and associates. You will also support the Store Manager in staffing, sourcing, interviewing, training, and succession planning, while communicating effectively with District and Regional Management teams.
