We are seeking a proven leader to join our team of logistics professionals and provide direction at one of our warehousing operations. As an Operations Supervisor, you will lead staff to ensure customer requirements are achieved while meeting Penske's goals and objectives. This role is designed for someone with a demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
In this position, you will provide operational leadership to individual contributors and the hourly workforce. Your day will involve supervising logistics operations, including customer service, freight loading and unloading, dispatch, and proper documentation. You will establish performance standards, coach associates, and make corrective action decisions to ensure the execution of daily tasks aligns with company services and cost objectives. You will also be involved in the hiring process and customer meetings as necessary.
This role offers bonus eligibility based on individual and location performance. The position requires flexibility around peak seasons, holidays, and business needs, with a shift schedule of Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM. Leadership members are expected to be present 30 minutes prior to the start of the shift.
