The Operations Manager serves as the operational backbone of the Company's Maintenance Department, overseeing the day-to-day execution of field jobs. Evolved from the historical "Account Manager" title, this role represents a deliberate shift in focus: moving from broad account management to the specialized supervision of maintenance contract work.
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Division Manager, the Operations Manager acts as the primary liaison between the Company, designated crews, foremen, and property owners. The position exists to ensure the highest standards of property maintenance and to facilitate seamless interaction with property managers and owners. This role requires a balance of field leadership and administrative precision, coordinating everything from emergency repairs to annual budget development.
Your work will be a dynamic mix of on-site leadership and office coordination. You will frequently attend meetings with property managers and owners to address maintenance needs, repairs, and installations. A significant portion of your time will be spent coordinating with office staff, foremen, and contractors to manage specifications, pricing, bids, and labor allocation for work orders.
You will also be responsible for reviewing and approving bills for collection, developing training technologies and safety measures for the field, and ensuring all operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations. When special projects or landscape upgrades arise outside of standard contracts, you will consult with the General Manager and Sales personnel to align resources with client requests and company policy.
