Inferno Systems is a premier provider of specialized engineering solutions, dedicated to supporting the Intelligence Community (IC) and operational elements in executing complex cyber missions. We pride ourselves on a culture that encourages innovative ideas within a tight-knit team environment, where proactive and self-motivated engineers drive forward critical customer missions.
As an Operational Systems Engineer, you will occupy a unique position bridging the gap between software development and real-world cyber operations. You will work directly with operational teams to develop, plan, and execute cyber operations using tools that you help design, engineer, and integrate. This role is not just about writing code; it involves gaining approval for operational plans, briefing options and risks, and collaborating across various offices and the IC to ensure technical success.
You will serve as a key interface between our development teams and our customers, participating in all phases of the development lifecycle. Your day-to-day will involve evaluating code, understanding system architecture, and coordinating multiple development efforts to create a unified solution. You will oversee tool development progress, assess quality and proficiency, and help define operational requirements. The role demands agility to respond to shifting operational requirements and timelines while leading the creative process to formulate approaches that meet rapidly developing needs.
Candidates must possess a current TS/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph. The selection process involves a thorough review of your technical background, specifically your experience in major programming languages (C, C++, Golang, Java, JavaScript, Python, or Rust) and your history in operational environments. We look for individuals who can demonstrate the ability to direct rapid prototyping and engage multiple stakeholders effectively.
Inferno Systems is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to building a diverse workforce and consider qualified applicants regardless of background. We value the ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures, and we encourage candidates who can convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
