About the Role
We are seeking an Operating Room Nurse to join our ambulatory surgery center team. This role is designed for professionals who want to contribute their expertise in circulating or scrub roles while ensuring safe and effective nursing care from the start of a procedure until the patient is transferred to recovery. You will be an integral part of a team that values personal growth and satisfaction, facilitating efficient transitions between surgical procedures and anticipating the needs of surgeons.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleOversee instrument and equipment set-up for the OR using preference cards
- check_circleManage patient care and medication, including assistance with anesthesia
- check_circleReview patient charts for completeness in accordance with documentation protocols
- check_circleCoordinate and oversee the room during surgical cases as the circulator
- check_circleFacilitate effective and efficient transitions between surgical procedures
- check_circleUtilize appropriate body mechanics to move patients safely to stretchers and OR tables
Requirements
- verifiedGraduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- verifiedMinimum 1 year of experience in an operating room setting
- verifiedActive RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure
- verifiedValid BCLS Certification upon employment
- verifiedACLS as required by facility
- verifiedPALS is preferred, but may be required at some facilities
- verifiedCNOR certification preferred
Nice to Have
Experience in an ambulatory surgery center. PALS certification. CNOR certification.
