The Department of Clinical & Community Sciences at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry invites applications for a half-time, clinical track faculty position within the Division of Behavioral & Population Sciences.
This position focuses on clinical teaching and the direct supervision of pre-doctoral dental students in community outreach settings. The role emphasizes geriatric and medically complex dentistry within diverse environments. Faculty members will prioritize the management and treatment of medically complex patients during community outreach and geriatric rotations.
Additionally, the faculty member will supervise dental students in pre-doctoral general dentistry clinics. This program is designed to emphasize multidisciplinary interactions and specialized care for adults, particularly those with complex medico/dental needs. The role involves managing the daily treatment of patients, providing instruction and feedback to students, and evaluating student performance according to the clinical and academic protocols established by the UAB School of Dentistry.
