As a Police Officer at our Wilmington medical center, you will serve as a vital guardian of lives and property. Your primary purpose is to enforce laws, prevent crime, and maintain a visible police presence that fosters a sense of security within the medical center and assigned facilities.
In this varied shift role, you will be the first point of contact for a wide array of situations. You will receive and respond to complaints, handle emergency calls, and conduct interviews with complainants, suspects, and victims. Your duties include making arrests, restraining suspects as necessary, and intervening to counsel parties in dispute. Beyond traditional law enforcement, you will actively assist medical staff when requested, ensuring a seamless environment where patient care and public safety intersect.

Candidates must possess a valid Ohio Driver's license and a high school diploma or GED. Successful applicants will be required to complete the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission police academy within three months of application and obtain the necessary certifications, including the Secretary of State Police Commission certificate and CPR certification. Please note that individuals charged or convicted of disqualifying offenses per Ohio Administrative Code 3701-13-05 are not eligible.
