As a Police Officer at our Wilmington medical center, you will patrol assigned areas to protect lives and property, enforce laws, and prevent crime. Your presence is vital in establishing a sense of security within the medical center and surrounding facilities. You will serve as a first responder, receiving and handling a variety of complaints and emergency calls. Your duties include interviewing complainants, suspects, and victims, making arrests, and restraining suspects as required. Beyond law enforcement, you will intervene to counsel parties in dispute and assist medical staff whenever requested, ensuring a safe environment for patients, visitors, and employees alike.
Candidates must be prepared to complete the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission police academy within three months of application. Upon hire, you will be required to obtain CPR certification and successfully complete the annual OPOTA firearms qualification course. The process also includes obtaining and maintaining a Secretary of State Police Commission certificate granted by KHN PD.
