This role sits within the Division of Student Affairs, specifically under the Associate Vice President (AVP) of Student Engagement. The team is dedicated to supporting the operations of the Engagement reporting departments and enhancing the campus experience for the University of Utah community. The office serves as a central hub for executive coordination, ensuring that the AVP and their leadership team can focus on strategic initiatives while maintaining a smooth, efficient, and welcoming environment.
As the Office Administrator, you will be the operational backbone of the AVP's office, overseeing general office functions and acting as the primary face of the department. Your day will involve coordinating the daily office environment, from managing office supplies and equipment maintenance to initiating repair requests with campus and external vendors. You will serve as a key liaison, developing and maintaining relationships with the campus community, vendors, and various internal departments.
A significant portion of your time will be spent supporting executives through high-level coordination. This includes planning and logistics for local culture and engagement initiatives, as well as managing complex schedules for internal and external meetings, conferences, and video calls. You will also handle critical back-office functions, including managing the office budget, negotiating contracts and prices with vendors, and providing accounting support for payroll, facilities, and supply management. In the absence of other administrative staff, you will step in to support the broader administrative functions of the Student Affairs division, ensuring high-quality service that reflects the University's highest standards.
