This temporary, full-time position serves as a critical link in New York State's Mitchell-Lama Occupied Apartment Inspections Program. The role exists to ensure community compliance with state-mandated housing standards while maintaining a professional and respectful relationship with shareholders.
You will be responsible for engaging in all aspects of the inspection program, from scheduling follow-up calls to securing appointments with residents. Your day-to-day involves conducting detailed inspections within apartments to identify violations based on established State of New York parameters. Beyond the inspections, you will compile quarterly reports, document conditions with integrity, and occasionally update the Keri System Software to address parking lot changes. The role also includes periodic building walk-throughs, general work order service, and supporting the Restoration Inspector during finals.
Applicants must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, along with either two years of residential property management/maintenance experience, three years of Administrative Clerk/Housing Authority experience, or a combination thereof.
