At Memorial Hermann, we pursue a common goal of delivering high-quality, efficient care while creating exceptional experiences for every member of our community. This commitment extends to our employees; we believe that when our team feels cared for, heard, and valued, they are inspired to create moments that exceed expectations. Our vision is to create healthier communities, now and for generations to come, by prioritizing safety, compassion, personalization, and efficiency in every interaction.
This position serves as a vital link in our continuum of care, assessing patients and developing comprehensive treatment plans based on the results of evaluations. These evaluations encompass physical, cognitive, perceptual, and developmental skills, all aimed at maximizing the client's level of independence in occupational performance areas throughout the lifespan. Beyond direct patient care, this role involves documenting findings, progress, and instructions for both patients and caregivers.
You will play a key leadership role within the rehabilitation team by assisting Level II or III occupational therapists and leadership with program development. The position offers the opportunity to provide training and guidance to students, interns, and other staff, while supervising assistants and rehabilitation technicians regarding individual patient care. This role is designed for professionals committed to promoting individual growth and serving as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced colleagues.
Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted directly by the recruiting team to schedule a conversation. Please ensure your contact information is up to date in your application portal.
Memorial Hermann is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, or veteran status. We are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment where every member of our community feels valued.
