As an Occupational Therapist in Home Health, you will be the cornerstone of patient care within the home setting. You will assess and evaluate patient care needs related to functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, and home assessments. Your work involves determining the need for adaptive equipment and addressing other occupational therapy needs as defined by medical conditions.
You will operate within the scope of practice defined by state laws, utilizing evidence-based techniques in coordination with the broader healthcare team. A key part of your day involves evaluating the patient's functional status and body systems to develop a therapy plan of care in consultation with physicians. You will continuously observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and any changes in condition to the nurse supervisor and physician.
This role offers a challenging environment with clear direction on what it takes to succeed. You will be rewarded and recognized for your performance, with opportunities for development into other roles. You will work independently, managing multiple tasks while adapting to any home situation regardless of the client's background or financial condition.
Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment. The interview process will assess your clinical expertise, ability to work independently, and cultural fit within our team of caring professionals.
