About the Role
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist for a 13-week contract assignment in Syracuse, NY. This position is designed for a professional with a strong background in both acute care and outpatient settings. The role involves administering therapy services as prescribed by physicians, evaluating patients, and establishing individualized treatment goals in collaboration with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families.
Day in the Life
Your day will involve active participation in clinics, rounds, and conferences where you will present patient progress and updates. You will maintain accurate documentation and records while ensuring therapy equipment is maintained and supplies are adequate. A key part of the role is communicating effectively with patients and families regarding care plans. Additionally, you will participate in staff education and training programs as needed.
Schedule and Location
The primary schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. This role requires occasional weekend coverage, specifically one weekend per month.
Application Instructions
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy and possess active New York State licensure or eligibility. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required, with specific experience in acute care and outpatient settings. Trauma and ICU experience are preferred. All candidates must pass a pre-employment health clearance.
