About the Role

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown is seeking an OB/GYN to join our high-volume OB/GYN Hospitalist program. This position offers the opportunity to manage high-volume, rewarding clinical scenarios across Labor & Delivery, High-Risk OB, and Postpartum units. You will provide expert evaluation and treatment in the dedicated OB/GYN Emergency Department and lead emergency surgeries for unassigned GYN inpatients.

Working within an established team of physicians and APPs, you will practice in a physician-led, collaborative culture that values long-term stability and mission-centered care. This employed position allows for national network support while maintaining local autonomy.

About the Facility

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital is a 683-bed acute and rehab care facility serving a population of approximately 730,000. The hospital is known for high-volume specialty care in women's health, orthopedics, and multidisciplinary lung cancer and robotic surgery. Recent expansions include a new ICU, a surgical tower, and the Women's Hospital Pavilion, which opened in 2023. The facility is part of an integrated referral network within the national Ascension system.

Location and Context

This role is located in Nashville, Tennessee, at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital. The facility is currently designated as a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) and/or Medically Underserved Area/Population (MUA/P). The position is PRN with a rotating call structure of 12 or 24-hour shifts. Malpractice coverage with tail is provided.
