This position is vital to the patient experience, serving as the bridge between nutritional guidelines and daily care. You will be responsible for collecting patient menus and correcting them according to the prescribed diet following Academy of Nutrition and Dietitians guidelines. Your work involves assembling all meals and delivering them directly to patients, ensuring their dietary needs are met with precision and care.
You will work closely with nursing staff and administration to ensure patient satisfaction and address specific dietary requirements. This role includes patient education regarding menus, selecting meals for those unable to choose, and interacting with patient family members as needed. Additionally, you will calculate formula requirements for tube feeding and manage various kitchen duties, such as operating equipment, assisting in the dish room, and preparing the kitchen for upcoming meal periods.
