About the Role
The Nutrition Services Supervisor serves as a key operational partner to the Director of Nutrition Services, assisting with district-wide menu planning, monitoring of operations, and staff management. This role is critical in ensuring the district's food service programs align with federal, state, and local guidelines, including the USDA National School Lunch, School Breakfast, and Summer Food Service Programs.
In this position, you will help drive the district's health and wellness initiatives while overseeing the day-to-day functioning of kitchen sites. The role involves a blend of strategic planning and hands-on management, from developing special dietary menus and conducting recipe testing to coordinating district-wide catering events. You will also support the enterprise's goals by managing staffing, training, and procurement processes, ensuring full compliance with the State Procurement Code and USFR.
As a vital member of the team, you will travel regularly to school sites and act as a substitute manager when required. In the absence of the Director, you assume general responsibility for the operation of the enterprise, ensuring continuity and high standards across all nutrition services.

Requirements

Nice to Have
4 years of school food service experience, 3 years of supervisory experience, experience in budgetary controls of labor, food and supply costs.
