The Nutrition Services Manager serves as the strategic leader for the Camas School District's food service program, ensuring the delivery of safe, nutritious, and high-quality meals to students. This role is critical in supporting student satisfaction and participation while maintaining strict compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Manager oversees a complex network of 11 kitchens and a team of more than 55 staff members, including the Nutrition Services Specialist and Coordinator.
In this position, you will drive the operational excellence of the district's nutrition services. Your day-to-day involves leading menu and recipe development to meet USDA standards, managing labor scheduling and budgeting, and overseeing purchasing and inventory systems. You will act as the primary liaison between the district's culinary operations and its educational mission, ensuring that every meal contributes to student well-being. The role requires balancing operational efficiency with a commitment to student acceptability and community engagement.
You will report directly to the Director of Business Services and lead a diverse team of kitchen leads, cooks, and support staff. Success in this role depends on fostering a culture of integrity, teamwork, and adaptability. You will work closely with district leadership, school administrators, and external partners to promote positive relationships with students, families, and the community. The team is dedicated to continuous improvement, ensuring that meal service operations remain resilient during staffing shortages, emergencies, or inclement weather.

Associates Degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutrition Science, Culinary Arts, Food Service Management, or related field. 5+ years of progressive experience in large-scale food service operations, preferably in K-12 school nutrition programs. Demonstrated experience managing multi-site operations and large teams (40+ employees).
Skills: Servsafe Manager Certification, Haccp, Osha.
Education: Associate's Degree in Food and Nutrition or related field preferred.
