Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital is a Magnet-recognized, not-for-profit, faith-based hospital serving the growing Northwest Houston community. We are committed to providing quality, cost-effective health care in a compassionate environment, offering a full range of services including emergency care, cardiology, orthopedics, oncology, and primary medicine.
As a Nutrition Assistant, you serve as the vital link between patients and our dining services. You will be the initial point of contact for resolving food-related concerns and ensuring that every patient receives accurate information regarding their physician-prescribed diet. Your role is essential in educating patients on dining programs, assisting with menu selection, and monitoring feedback to drive continuous improvement in meal quality and selection.
In this position, you will manage the end-to-end dining experience, from verifying diet orders and logging customer concerns to delivering trays with precision. You will work collaboratively with nursing staff, physicians, and management to address hazards, resolve discrepancies, and ensure patient satisfaction. Whether you are distributing tube feedings, answering questions about ingredients, or advocating for process improvements, your work directly impacts the patient's recovery and comfort.
Interested candidates should apply through the Houston Methodist careers portal. The selection process typically involves a review of qualifications, including the required Food Handlers Permit or Food Service Manager Certification, followed by an interview to assess communication skills and fit within our compassionate care team.
