At BlueOval Battery Park Michigan, you will be part of the historic transformation of the automotive industry. This facility represents a pivotal moment in the shift toward advanced battery technology, requiring a team that combines entrepreneurial skills with a strong collaborative mindset to drive the future of mobility.
You will serve as a critical guardian of safety and operational continuity within this high-tech manufacturing environment. Your day-to-day involves building and leading an agile team to deliver advanced technology solutions while fostering a culture of trust and diversity of thought. From responding to fire suppression emergencies and managing hazardous materials to providing immediate medical aid and executing technical rescues, your role ensures that the facility remains a safe place for everyone.
Beyond emergency response, you will act as a proactive risk manager. You will conduct routine facility inspections, participate in pre-incident planning, and ensure strict compliance with safety permits for hot work and confined space entry. This position demands that you collaborate closely with production operators, engineers, and maintenance technicians to identify hazards, manage system impairments, and maintain peak operational readiness of all fire and safety equipment.
Candidates must be fully flexible and ready to work across all established standard, operating, and rotational shift schedules, including day, night, weekends, and holidays. During the initial training and launch phase, the operating pattern will be an 8-10 hour shift, transitioning to a 12-hour shift schedule thereafter. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
