About the Role

The Emergency Response Officer (ERO) serves as a critical first responder on-site, bridging the gap between standard security duties and advanced emergency management. This role exists to ensure the safety of people and assets by rapidly responding to a wide array of critical incidents. You will be the first on the scene for emergencies including fires, medical crises, bomb threats, flooding, hazardous material releases, and elevator entrapments.

In this position, your day involves performing immediate scene size-ups and relaying vital information to central dispatch and supervisors. You will execute complex rescue procedures, such as vehicle and machinery extrication, and manage high or low-angle rescues. Your responsibilities extend to fire suppression using various apparatus and hose stations, as well as containing hazardous material spills of varying scales. When medical emergencies arise, you will initiate patient assessment, stabilization, and transport to onsite clinics, ensuring seamless handoffs to medical personnel. Additionally, you will perform triage during mass casualty incidents and maintain standard security duties like building patrols, visitor escorts, and reporting irregularities.
