Join Cleveland Clinic and experience world-class healthcare at its best. Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital is a proud Magnet Hospital, awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center—the highest honor an organization can receive for professional nursing practice. On our team, you will provide stellar patient care, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a meaningful career at one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.
Lutheran Hospital's Geriatric Psych Unit specializes in the unique mental health care needs of patients ages 55 and older. This unit is dedicated to helping patients achieve healthier and more productive lives through the evaluation, treatment, and stabilization of disturbances in thought, feelings, mood, behavior, and co-morbidities.
As a Nursing Department Assistant on this unit, you will facilitate the team's goal by creating a safe and healing environment. You will be the backbone of daily operations, providing patients with activities of daily living, performing essential support tasks, documenting patient conditions, and transporting patients and completing errands as directed.
In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients and the community every day. A caregiver who excels here works days from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., collaborating with RNs and the broader healthcare team to ensure timely delivery of care. You will organize patient care assignments, maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the unit, and conduct hourly patient rounds to assure safety measures are in place. Your presence ensures that patient areas are neat, equipment is functional, and safety protocols are strictly followed.
