About the Role
This position serves as a foundational step for individuals in training to become Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) or Medication Aides. You will provide direct, personal care to residents in a skilled nursing facility, addressing their physical, academic, social, and spiritual needs daily. Your goal is to help maintain and improve each resident's highest level of independent function.
In this role, you will be an integral part of the care team, assisting residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and feeding. You will support patient safety by helping with transfers, ambulation, and reorienting residents to their environment. The role also involves monitoring vital signs, documenting patient status, and providing emotional and spiritual support to families. You will work in a clean, safe environment that adheres to strict infection control and safety protocols.
