As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Baylor, you will be the cornerstone of daily care for residents in a designated area of our facility. Your primary mission is to ensure every resident receives compassionate, high-quality support that honors their dignity and meets their unique psychosocial and physical needs. You will work closely with Licensed Staff and the interdisciplinary team to implement the Interdisciplinary Care Plan, ensuring that care remains current and responsive to each resident's evolving condition.
Your day is defined by building meaningful connections. You will assist residents with activities of daily living, from morning grooming and mealtime support to restorative exercises and evening routines. Beyond clinical tasks, you are responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and home-like atmosphere in resident rooms and dining areas. By observing and reporting changes in resident health and well-being, you play a critical role in the early detection of issues and the overall safety of our community.
We foster a cooperative environment where the well-being of residents is the priority for every team member. As a CNA, you will function as an integral part of the Nursing Department, collaborating with licensed staff, housekeeping, and other departments to ensure seamless care. We value individuals who are courteous, adaptable, and possess strong judgment, particularly in emergency situations or during facility evacuations. Our culture emphasizes teamwork, where staff support one another to maintain high standards of care and a respectful workplace.
We are currently offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus for Full-Time CNAs. To apply, candidates must be at least enrolled in a certification program before employment begins, with completion of the certification process preferred prior to starting. If the program is not yet completed, new hires may perform only those tasks they have demonstrated proficiency in, pending state-designated deadlines.
Successful candidates must be willing to work preferred shifts and assist on other shifts as needed to ensure adequate staffing. The role requires a pre-employment and annual Tuberculosis screening.
