About the Role

As a Compassionate Nursing Assistant, you will become an integral part of our cardiac care team, providing direct care to patients under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Department Directors. Your primary focus will be ensuring patient safety and comfort while contributing to the healing process in a clean, supportive environment.

In this role, you will serve the needs of patients by assisting with personal hygiene, nutritional needs, and comfort care. You will be responsible for safely transferring patients, taking vital signs, and maintaining accurate records. A key aspect of your day involves recognizing changes in patient conditions and promptly reporting them to the RN to ensure timely medical intervention. You will work within the scope of your job to meet the rigorous requirements of the Joint Commission and other federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.

Location & Schedule

This position is located at St. Mary's Medical Center (Building B) in Duluth, Minnesota. The role requires a commitment of 48 hours every two weeks with a rotating schedule that includes day, evening, and night shifts. You will be expected to work every other weekend. Shifts include Day (6:00am - 2:30pm), Evening (2:00pm - 10:30pm), and Night (10:00pm - 6:30am).
