About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Skilled Nursing unit in a fast-paced healthcare environment in New York, NY. This role is designed for professionals dedicated to delivering patient-centered care within a high-acuity, team-based setting. The position requires adaptability and strong clinical judgment to ensure high clinical standards are met daily.
The Role
As an RN in this facility, you will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to manage the care of patients in a skilled nursing and acute care setting. Your day will involve performing comprehensive patient assessments, monitoring ongoing conditions, and administering medications and treatments according to physician orders. You will play a key role in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and patient mobility, while closely tracking vitals and pain levels to report any clinical changes immediately.
Documentation is a critical component of this role, requiring accurate record-keeping in EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech. Additionally, you will be responsible for educating patients and their families on care plans and discharge instructions, ensuring a smooth transition of care. The environment is dynamic, demanding the ability to manage multiple patients effectively while adhering to strict infection control and safety protocols.

Requirements

Nice to Have
Experience in hospital or clinical setting. ACLS certification.
