About the Role
We are seeking a Compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our Level 17 Cardiac Unit at St. Mary's Medical Center. In this role, you will provide direct care to patients, serving their needs with a focus on safety and comfort under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Department Directors. Your work will be instrumental in meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health while adhering to the requirements of the Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies.
You will be part of a dynamic environment where you contribute to a safe, clean setting that promotes the healing process. Whether assisting with personal hygiene, nutritional needs, or transferring patients, your presence ensures that every patient receives the compassionate support they deserve.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleRecognize and promptly report changes in patient condition to the RN
- check_circleMaintain a safe and clean environment for patients
- check_circleTake vital signs and complete recordkeeping
Requirements
- verified6 months of nursing assistant experience OR completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program OR enrollment into the Essentia Health Nursing Assistant Foundation Course within 30 days of hire OR verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program OR current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry
- verifiedBLS certified or ability to become certified within 1 month from hire date
