This position serves as a strategic partner in advancing nursing excellence across our regional campuses, including KPWA Renton, Overlake (Bellevue), Swedish (Seattle), and PRMC (Everett). The primary mission is to bridge the gap between clinical practice and professional growth by designing, delivering, and evaluating high-impact educational programs. You will act as a catalyst for continuous improvement, ensuring that nursing staff not only meet established competency expectations but also thrive in an evolving healthcare landscape.
In this role, you will move beyond simple instruction to become a consultant on professional development. Your day-to-day involves identifying knowledge and skill gaps through data-driven needs assessments, then crafting targeted remediation plans and longitudinal education strategies. You will apply adult learning principles to create engaging curricula, ranging from virtual modules to in-person classroom sessions, ensuring that training aligns with evidence-based guidelines and regulatory standards. By analyzing metrics and outcome measures, you will continuously refine these programs to promote patient safety and high-quality care delivery.
We are building a culture where learning is continuous and collaborative. This role requires a high degree of autonomy and the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization. You will work closely with nursing leaders, subject matter experts, and interdisciplinary committees to align educational goals with broader organizational objectives. Success in this environment depends on your ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing clinical needs, and foster strong relationships with diverse teams.
This is an onsite role with flexibility across our key locations: KPWA Renton, Overlake in Bellevue, Swedish campuses in Seattle, and PRMC in Everett. The position includes a rotating on-call weekend schedule, occurring approximately once every 6 to 8 weeks, to support critical operational needs.
While we welcome candidates with strong clinical teaching backgrounds, candidates who hold MCG Certification, EPIC Certification, CCM Certification, or have prior RN Educator work experience are highly preferred and will be given significant consideration.
Candidates with prior case management work experience are highly encouraged to apply, as this background is essential for success in this position. Please ensure your application highlights your experience in curriculum design, competency validation, and professional development within a healthcare setting.
We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, identity, or experience, and we actively support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in all our hiring practices.
