The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) will employ multiple modalities, including regional anesthesia, MAC sedation, and general anesthesia, in the operating room to provide adequate analgesia or anesthesia during surgical procedures. The scope of practice is defined by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and the North Carolina Practice Act, with providers accountable to the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
You will work with an exceptional team supporting full-scope nurse anesthesia practice. The role offers a great mix of cases including general surgery, orthopedics, urology, plastics, GYN, podiatry, dental, ENT, and ophthalmology. Out-of-department procedures include endoscopy, cardioversions/TEE, and interventional radiology. Notably, there are no hearts or lungs cases. CRNAs function independently to provide labor epidurals on a designated labor and delivery tract.
