Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for surgical, obstetric, and procedural patients
- check_circleDevelop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans in collaboration with anesthesiologists
- check_circleAdminister general, regional, monitored anesthesia care, and sedation according to patient needs
- check_circleContinuously monitor patient status intraoperatively including ventilation, hemodynamics, and fluid balance
- check_circleManage airways including advanced airway techniques, intubation, and ventilator management
- check_circleProvide post-anesthesia care and pain management including evaluation in the PACU
- check_circleDocument all aspects of anesthesia care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
- check_circleCollaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient safety
- check_circleParticipate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and evidence-based practice
- check_circleSupport and precept students or new staff contributing to education and professional development
- check_circleConduct thorough pre-anesthesia assessments including history, physical exams, and risk stratification
Requirements
- verifiedCurrent Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification
- verifiedUnrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- verifiedAdvanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) recognition in North Carolina
