About the Role
This position serves as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) within a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The role is dedicated to providing comprehensive anesthesia care to patients across all age groups. As a key member of the medical team, you will operate in a dynamic setting that demands adaptability, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
The position requires working all shifts, including rotating schedules, to ensure continuous coverage. You will be expected to navigate a noisy, intense environment while maintaining clear communication and logical decision-making under pressure. The role involves significant physical activity, including lifting up to 100 lbs, extensive walking, and repetitive overhead reaching.
Compliance and Standards
Success in this role requires a deep understanding of local, federal, and state laws and regulations, as well as The Joint Commission (TJC) standards. You must demonstrate a strong aptitude for compliance with VCUHS policies, procedures, and the organization's customer service philosophy. Maintaining credentialing in accordance with medical staff by-laws is essential for continued employment.
