About the Role
The Night Auditor serves as the vital link between the day's operations and the next morning's start, ensuring the hotel runs smoothly while guests are at rest. This role is unique in its blend of hospitality, financial oversight, and emergency management. You will act as the Acting Manager on Duty (MOD), providing a safety net for the property and a reassuring presence for guests who may need assistance at any hour.
Your day-to-day involves more than just balancing the books; you are the face of the hotel during the quietest hours. From greeting late arrivals and handling early departures to managing guest requests and resolving complaints, you ensure every guest feels cared for. The role also extends to operational support, including preparing daily breakfasts, managing laundry services, and maintaining the front desk environment. You will summarize nightly operations, identify follow-up tasks for management, and ensure all financial records are accurate and balanced before the day shift begins.
