We are seeking an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant to join this dynamic team. ECU Health Children's Hospital stands as the only tertiary facility in eastern North Carolina designed specifically for pediatric patients, featuring advanced programs in ECMO and pediatric surgery. The program offers a unique hybrid model with hospital privileges at both ECU Health North Hospital and Maynard Children's Hospital at ECU Health Medical Center in nearby Greenville, NC. This growing, physician-led healthcare system spans nine hospitals, providing a robust environment for clinical excellence.
The role is designed to support a healthy work-life balance in a region known for its proximity to the coast, affordable cost of living, and mild climate. Providers will spend 16 days off per month while managing 12 unrestricted 24-hour call shifts at a regional facility. Clinical duties at ECU Health North Hospital include rounding and coordinating care from admission to discharge for all newborn patients, attending all at-risk deliveries, and participating in the resuscitation, stabilization, and transfer of critically ill neonates. Providers will return quarterly to Maynard Children's Hospital to maintain competency and skills with the newborn and NICU teams, with transfer support provided by ECU Health Medical Center.
