As a Neuro IR Tech, you will join the RCH MIS IR department in Rapid City, SD, as an essential member of our diagnostics team. You will be valued for your ingenuity and initiative in applying ionizing radiation to obtain diagnostic images, playing a critical role in life-changing procedures such as neuro embolization, thrombectomy, aneurysm coiling, and cerebral angiography.
This position is designed for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses the critical thinking skills to work with minimal supervision. You will promote a cooperative atmosphere while performing technical aspects that require precise judgment.
Your day will involve preparing procedure trays according to physician preferences using sterile techniques, positioning patients and bi-plane units to ensure clear, undistorted views, and assisting physicians during complex interventions. You will be responsible for acquiring and archiving procedures, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by Radiologists and Cardiologists, and managing accurate documentation and billing. You will also serve as a learning environment for others while maintaining rigorous standards for radiation safety and quality control.
