About Year Up United
Year Up United is an intensive, one-year or less job training program designed to bridge the gap between young adults and professional careers. The program combines in-classroom skill development with access to internships and personalized coaching and mentorship. Participants receive an educational stipend throughout the duration of the program.
The curriculum blends technical and professional training with job placement support through YUPRO Placement, an industry-leading talent placement firm. Internships are secured with leading organizations in the Providence area, including Citizens, Amica Mutual Insurance Company, Lifespan, and Fidelity.
What You Will Gain
Participants develop professional business and communication skills, interviewing and networking expertise, and resume-building capabilities. The program provides ongoing support and guidance to help launch a career. In-depth classes cover Business Operations, IT Support, Financial Operations, Banking, Project Management, and Network Security & Support.
The program delivers measurable outcomes: 72% of Year Up United graduates are employed and/or enrolled in postsecondary education within four months of graduation. Employed graduates earn an average starting salary of $53,000 per year.
Eligibility and Application
To apply, candidates must be high school graduates or GED recipients, eligible to work in the U.S., and available Monday through Friday for the program's duration. Applicants should be highly motivated to learn technical and professional skills and must not have obtained a Bachelor's degree.
