Leidos is an industry and technology leader serving government and commercial customers with smarter, more efficient digital and mission innovations. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, with 47,000 global employees, the company reported annual revenues of approximately $16.7 billion for the fiscal year ended January 3, 2025.
This role supports the National Digital Exploitation & OSINT Center (NDOC), a critical component of the Intelligence Community Campus in Bethesda. The mission demands a team that outthinks, outbuilds, and outpaces the status quo. We are not hiring followers; we are recruiting those who disrupt, provoke, and refuse to fail. The work is fast-moving, operating at "step 30" rather than ancient history, requiring agility and a refusal to accept the status quo.
As a Network Engineer, you will serve as a key technical leader for the NDOC, supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of major computer network initiatives. This is a 100% on-site position where all work must be performed at the customer site in Bethesda.
You will act as the architect and guardian of highly available, scalable, and secure data center and enterprise network architectures. Your day-to-day involves designing spine-leaf topologies, managing virtualized environments, and sustaining seamless connectivity between on-premises systems, cloud environments, and external mission networks. You will lead troubleshooting for complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime through robust contingency and continuity planning.
Beyond technical execution, this role includes significant leadership responsibilities. You will supervise and mentor network engineers and technicians, providing technical leadership and professional development. You will also manage work performance, review timesheets, and assist leadership in planning schedules and candidate interviews. Flexibility is essential, as you must be prepared to provide after-hours or on-call support during critical outages.
Candidates must meet specific government contract requirements, including US Citizenship and a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph (or willingness to obtain one). The role requires adherence to DoD 8140/8570.11-IAT Level II certification standards.
