This Network Engineer position is based in Seattle, WA, for an initial duration of 6+ months with the possibility of extension or conversion. The role focuses on the rollout of large-scale DWDM networks and optical network technologies, requiring expertise in optical planning and modeling tools. The successful candidate will apply deep knowledge of IP networking fundamentals and major internet routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF.
The position demands in-depth experience with major router platforms, including Cisco 37xx, 49xx, 65xx, 73xx, and 76xx series, along with their compatible supervisory and line cards. Candidates must possess strong network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills. The role involves extensive work with a wide array of protocols and technologies, including DWDM, T1/OTN, IPv4 & IPv6, TCP internals, HSRP/GLBP, PIMv2, IGMP, LDP, TACACS, IPSEC & VPNs, netflow, DNS, and HTTP.
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $35.00 to $40.00, influenced by factors such as geography, skills, education, and experience.
