As a Neighborhood Services Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in administering and coordinating grant-funded services and programs under the Neighborhood Services Division work plan for the next four years. You will supervise neighborhood revitalization and community development programs, ensuring the preservation, improvement, and protection of neighborhoods across the City of Yuma and Yuma County.
In this position, you will manage federal entitlement resources received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), including Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership programs. Your day-to-day work involves leading housing rehabilitation initiatives, managing sub-recipients, and developing strategies to expand affordable housing and economic opportunities. You will collaborate closely with the Assistant Director to shape program strategies, conduct public meetings to address community needs, and ensure that eligible participants receive the support they need.
Candidates selected for an interview will be required to provide a valid Arizona State Driver's License. Please note that Lead Abatement Supervisor and Lead Inspector Risk Assessor certifications are required within six months of hire. Special training and certifications through HUD and the Arizona Department of Housing are preferred.
