About the Role
We are seeking talented healthcare professionals whose "adventure game" is as strong as their clinical game. This local contract opportunity in Anchorage, Alaska, is designed for those who value flexibility and high pay. You will join a dynamic Surgery unit featuring 11 operating rooms and a staff of 70, working alongside a dedicated team of RNs, surgical techs, and support staff.
In this role, you will manage a 1:1 patient ratio in a fast-paced environment performing a wide variety of procedures, including orthopedics (THA, TKA, spinal surgeries), general surgery (laparoscopic procedures, amputations), and cardiovascular surgeries. The unit utilizes the EPIC EMR system, and you may encounter specialized equipment such as the DaVinci XI. While the primary shift is days (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM), the role includes on-call requirements (approximately 4-5 shifts per 4 weeks) and potential weekend coverage.
Hiring Process & Application
To be considered for this assignment, candidates must possess an active Alaska permanent license and successfully clear the state background and fingerprint process. Candidates with experience in Davinci XI, Vascular, ENT, or CV Surgery will be prioritized.
