About the Role
As an NCT - Medical Assistant at CareNow, you will join a physician-driven team dedicated to providing extensive resources and support to our clinical colleagues. You will play a vital role in our more than 225 clinics, serving the entire family with a wide range of urgent care services. In this role, you will be the face of our clinic, keeping patients and visitors informed of progress while ensuring a smooth experience from check-in to check-out. You will perform essential clinical duties including taking vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKGs, and administering IM injections. A key part of your day involves performing all x-ray and imaging services according to provider orders, applying splints, dressings, and bandages, and maintaining accurate records of in-house and external lab work. You will also assist in auditing charts and documenting patient history in our EHR system.

Requirements
- verifiedHigh School Diploma or equivalent

- verifiedGeneral Medical Radiology Technician (GMRT), Limited Medical Radiology Technician (LMRT), or Non-Registered Technician (NCT) license in state of residency
- verifiedCurrent BLS Certification within 30 days of start
- verifiedFederal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months
Nice to Have
1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting. Experience using an EHR system. Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
