As a Naturalist, you will serve as the voice of the wilderness, educating passengers about the unique environment and the importance of maintaining the natural habitats dedicated to Alaska's wildlife populations. You will be the bridge between the guests and the rugged beauty of Southeast Alaska, delivering world-class experiences that showcase the region's glaciology, wildlife, and rich natural and human history.
Your day will involve developing engaging tour narratives in collaboration with the duty captain, factoring in real-time elements like weather, tides, and recent sightings. Beyond storytelling, you will ensure the safety and well-being of up to 150 passengers by directing boarding and disembarking procedures and conducting emergency orientations. You will also work closely with the Guest Services team to provide personalized interaction, assist in the galley with food and beverage service, and help maintain the vessel's impeccable cleanliness and safety standards.
This role requires a creative spirit and the ability to adapt your presentation to the dynamic conditions of the sea, ensuring every voyage is both educational and memorable.

Candidates must possess a valid US driver's license, a clean driving record, and be able to pass a security background check and DOT drug test. Prior to your first day of employment, you must obtain valid USCG-approved CPR/First Aid certification, an Alaska Food Handler card, and TAPS certification to serve alcohol.
