As an MRI Technologist I, you will perform complex MRI exams utilizing varying strength magnets, powerful magnetic fields, and radiofrequency waves. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of MRI physics, biological effects on human tissue, and the critical safety protocols surrounding medical implants such as pacemakers, nerve stimulation devices, and electronic pumps. Your role requires independent judgment to enforce strict MRI safety standards, ensuring the well-being of patients with and without these devices.
Beyond technical expertise, this role is defined by a deep compassion for patients. You will be the primary point of contact for individuals experiencing claustrophobia, tasked with providing the mechanisms and support necessary to help them overcome their discomfort during the imaging process. You will operate under the general supervision of the Radiologist and the MRI Supervisor, adapting continuously to new technologies and evolving imaging techniques.

ARRT MRI Certification. Two years of Radiology imaging experience, cross sectional imaging, and/or computer assisted imaging. Technical knowledge and expertise in cross sectional anatomy.
