UMB's mortgage team was established in 2013 with the strategic decision to bring the entire mortgage process in-house. The team boasts a wealth of knowledge, comprised of associates with 10 or more years of experience in the mortgage field. As a vital component of the bank, the mortgage sales team attracts new clients by building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, real estate agents, and other partners who refer clients with mortgage needs.
The Mortgage Loan Originator plays a crucial role in educating, advising, and guiding UMB clients through the loan application process. From the initial loan approval to the final closing, you will be with the client every step of the way. Your primary focus is assessing the client's specific loan needs and advising on the best options to fit their unique situation. Success in this role relies on building strong client relationships by providing consistent progress reports throughout the mortgage journey.
At UMB, you are more than a means to an end; you are a valued member of a community that cares about its work, its people, and the world around it. We expect more than the status quo. You will be valued for exactly who you are and encouraged to support causes you care about. We foster an environment of trust, where doing the right thing is paramount, and offer opportunities for multiple careers within the organization where your voice is heard.
UMB and its affiliates are committed to inclusion and diversity, providing employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and gender identity), national origin, age, disability, military service, veteran status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable law.
