This position serves as a vital link in our Critical Care Patient Care Delivery team, ensuring the safety and continuity of care for patients in a ten-bed critical care unit equipped with thirty-two telemetry units. You will be responsible for observing the arrhythmia computer and maintaining accurate records of patient cardiac rhythms. Your role involves interpreting cardiac rhythms, notifying appropriate personnel of any changes, and initiating the organization of patient medical records.
Beyond technical monitoring, you will act as a communication hub for the healthcare team. You will transcribe medical plans of care, document accurately and timely, process physician orders, and coordinate with team members to assist in planning for discharge and post-discharge needs. You will also facilitate a healing and therapeutic environment for patients and their families, ensuring a professional and courteous exchange of information.
To join our team, candidates must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing. Successful applicants will be expected to complete an approved basic arrhythmia program and obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification is required within one year of employment and must be renewed bi-annually.
