This position serves as a vital link in our Critical Care Patient Care Delivery team. You will be stationed in a ten-bed Critical Care Unit equipped with thirty-two telemetry units, where your primary focus is monitoring patient stability through advanced cardiac technology. Your day involves observing the arrhythmia computer to detect rhythm changes, maintaining accurate records of patient cardiac rhythms, and ensuring the timely transcription of medical plans of care.
Beyond technical monitoring, you will be a key communicator within the healthcare team. You will notify appropriate personnel of rhythm changes, process physician orders, and collaborate with team members to coordinate patient care and discharge planning. You will also help facilitate a healing and therapeutic environment for patients and their families while assisting in the orientation of new employees and maintaining a professional, courteous flow of information.
